AFC Bridgnorth is a football club from Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England. The team competes in the North West Counties League Division One South and plays its home matches at Crown Meadow. The club's badge features the town hall located in Bridgnorth's high town.
The original local side, Bridgnorth Town, first appeared in the 19th century and joined the Shropshire & District League in 1899. A later version of that club formed in July 1938, entered the Worcestershire Combination for the 1938–39 season, but folded after just one year due to the outbreak of World War II. After being revived, the club moved up to the newly renamed Midland Combination in 1968, joining Division One. In 1970–71, they became one of the few English clubs to win the Welsh Amateur Cup, defeating Welshpool 2–1 in the final. They were runners-up in that competition in 1976–77 and won the league title in 1979–80. After finishing second the following season, they claimed a second Division One title in 1982–83, which earned promotion to the Southern League's Midland Division. Bridgnorth Town spent thirteen seasons there before finishing bottom and being relegated to the Midland Alliance. They remained in the Alliance until finishing last in 2004–05, dropping to the Midland Combination's Premier Division. After one season there, they moved laterally to the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division. They won that league in 2007–08 and returned to the Midland Alliance. Despite a seventh-place finish in 2012–13, the club folded due to financial problems.
AFC Bridgnorth was then formed as a replacement, starting two levels lower in Division One of the West Midlands (Regional) League. They won that division at the first attempt, earning promotion to the Premier Division. They finished as runners-up in the Premier Division in 2014–15 and again the following season. At the end of the 2020–21 season, the club was transferred to Division One of the Midland League after the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division lost its step six status. In 2022–23, they finished second-from-bottom of Division One but avoided relegation because Dawley Town was denied promotion from the Shropshire County League. The next season they finished bottom of Division One but again avoided relegation.
